After months of intensive development, Pragmos Beta 1 is officially live. Pragmos represents the direct evolution of NextUp - born from our recent architectural pivot and marking the formal retirement of the NextUp moniker.
This initial release introduces the core foundations upon which Pragmos will scale, anchored by voice-driven AI and autonomous agentic workflows. Pragmos brings these capabilities to life in several key ways:
- Dispatch agents to "wake up" another person's agent, seamlessly negotiating and establishing a mutual schedule on your - and the other persons - behalf.
- Watch agent-to-agent negotiations unfold live with a fully transparent, real-time interface.
- Converse naturally with Pragmos about your schedule, prompting it to update your availability instantly.
- Query Pragmos regarding a peer's availability and have it automatically prepare and dispatch a scheduling request.
Beyond these communicative capabilities, Pragmos is engineered from the ground up to be a state-of-the-art (SOTA) platform for planning, scheduling, project tracking, and collaborative work.
The Feature Lineup
While Pragmos Beta 1 weaves agentic workflows deeply into the experience, we have deliberately designed the interface to remain fluid and intuitive - ensuring a seamless workflow even if you choose not to utilize the underlying AI foundations.
Pragmos is built to eliminate the fragmented tooling and lossy communication that slow teams down. By centralizing the entire collaborative loop - from scheduling and peer coordination to milestone tracking - Pragmos Beta 1 launches with a robust foundational feature set:
- Dynamic To-Dos: Create, manage, and complete tasks with ease. In upcoming releases, you will be able to instantly dispatch agents to execute these to-dos on your behalf.
- Collaborative Groups: Create or join shared workspaces that centralize events, to-dos, and projects, allowing tasks and schedules to be assigned directly to specific members (with dedicated support for personal projects arriving shortly).
- Flexible Availability Configuration: Easily configure your availability within your account by tapping interactive blocks for specific days and times. With voice assistance, this is as simple as saying, “Hey Pragmos, I am no longer available on Tuesday at 9 AM.”
- Streamlined Communications: Communicate effortlessly with peers within groups and maintain conversation threads for as long as needed. Pragmos automatically categorizes all interactions as incoming or outgoing.
- Schedule Categorization: Your schedule is intelligently categorized based on active commitments, allowing you to easily filter between event types and de-clutter your calendar.
- Extensive Customization: Tailor your workspace and UI to match your exact visual and functional preferences.
This is only the beginning. There is much more to be added and eventually much more to explore.
The Pay-As-You-Go Model
While our homepage briefly notes that Pragmos avoids traditional subscriptions in favor of a pay-as-you-go model, we wanted to take a moment to explain our reasoning in greater depth.
Unlike traditional SaaS products, Pragmos is breaking away from the confines of monthly subscriptions. We believe subscriptions introduce more friction than value, often devolving into a game of gating features and manipulating free tiers just to force an upgrade. We think people should have access to a powerful platform without being forced to pay for resources or features they may never touch.
This philosophy is baked into the very design and engineering of Pragmos. While we deeply integrate AI into our core features, we ensure that foundational workflows remain accessible without gating them behind a monthly paywall. Driven by this design ethos - and our principled bias against subscriptions - we have adopted a true pay-as-you-go structure for the specific resources and features you actually consume.
Ultimately, this allows you to use Pragmos freely and pay exclusively for what you use. You can read more about the pay-as-you-go model here.
Looking Ahead
Pragmos Beta 1 is just the starting point. We are already hard at work on subsequent iterations and are targeting Pragmos Beta 2 within the next month. Each progressive step in our beta roadmap will introduce deeper feature sets, advanced AI capabilities, and accelerated platform maturation.
As a quick disclaimer: we are labeling these early releases as "Beta" simply because the current feature set falls short of our ultimate vision. Once we achieve our full suite of planned capabilities, Pragmos will graduate from beta status. In other words, while it may not fit traditional definitions of a public beta, we treat it internally as such because our work is far from finished.
